STOP HOARDING AND START SPREADING

When the G-20 meetings take place we watch the events take place in various foreign cities, but now we have an opportunity to be part of it. On September 24-25, 2009, Pittsburgh, PA will be hosting this major political and economic event. I plan to be there, along with some friends, and our theme will be for the elite, to stop hoarding the wealth and start spreading.

Take for example the PLO, they get BILLIONS in aid, but the elite hoard all the wealth, while the people can barely feed themselves. If humanity is to go forth, the concept of sharing must become a reality. Then and only then we will have a chance of a better world for all.

WOW!

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Friend,

As you read this, we are closer than ever to passing comprehensive health insurance reform that benefits American families and small businesses. Despite all the back and forth in the news right now, it is important to understand just how far we've come in this challenging process. That's why I'm holding a press conference tonight at 8pm ET, and writing to let everyone know where we are, what's ahead, and why health insurance reform is so important. Let me be clear: although Congress is still debating parts of the legislation we have achieved critical consensus on several key areas:
If you already have health insurance: reform will provide you with more security and stability. It will limit your own out of pocket costs and prevent your insurance company from dropping your coverage if you get too sick. You'll also have affordable insurance options if you lose or change your job. And it will cover preventive care like check-ups and mammograms that save lives and money. If you don't have health insurance: you will finally have guaranteed access to quality, affordable health care, and you can choose the plan that best suits your family's needs. And no insurance company will be allowed to deny you coverage because of a pre-existing medical condition. Now, I realize that the last few miles of any race are the hardest to run, but we can't stop now. There's no dispute about it: we cannot control our long-term fiscal health as a nation without health insurance reform. American families and small businesses understand that the health insurance status quo is taking away those things that they value most about health care. The stability and security that comes with knowing that you can get the treatment you need, when you need it. Without reform, we are consigning our children to a future of skyrocketing premiums and crushing deficits. We have to seize this opportunity and pass health insurance reform this year. You can help by forwarding this email to your family and friends and letting them know what's at stake in this debate.

Thank you,
Barack Obama
P.S. Tune in to tonight's press conference on health insurance reform at 8pm ET on WhiteHouse.gov.

A LETTER FROM U.S SENATOR CASEY

A letter from my U.S Senator. I do not like his views and policies

Dear Mr. Seretis:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me about the federal government's response to the economic downturn. I appreciate hearing from all Pennsylvanians about the issues that matter most to them. The last two years have seen the toughest economic climate in recent memory. Since the recession began, over 7 million jobs have been lost. The Pennsylvania unemployment rate has grown to 8.2 percent. In the face of these troubling statistics, it is no surprise that I hear daily from Pennsylvanians struggling to make ends meet. Whether they are trying to find a job, figuring how to pay their bills, or trying to put a child through school, it is clear to me that this recession has greatly impacted people across the Commonwealth. The federal government, including Congress and the Obama Administration, has a duty to act in a bold yet measured way to alleviate the suffering of families affected by the downturn. In a series of landmark pieces of legislation, Congress has indeed taken bold steps to respond to the crisis. Let me be clear—before deciding how to vote on these bills, I carefully reviewed the legislation and judged what impact it would have on Pennsylvania families. Ultimately, I decided that stabilizing the financial system and providing fiscal stimulus were actions in proportion to the magnitude of the economic crisis and necessary to create long-term economic security.I understand that there are many Pennsylvanians who disagree with my assessment. Some have expressed concerns that Congress has approved too much spending while others question the impact of these efforts to date. Though I appreciate these concerns, I strongly believe our actions were necessary to shore up our financial system and jump-start our economy. As we move forward implementing these laws, I look forward to hearing feedback from you. In addition, I encourage you to find detailed information about the government's efforts on financial recovery at www.financialstability.gov and the stimulus at www.recovery.gov. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future about this or any other matter of importance to you. If you have access to the Internet, I encourage you to visit my web site, http://casey.senate.gov. I invite you to use this online office as a comprehensive resource to stay up-to-date on my work in Washington, request assistance from my office or share with me your thoughts on the issues that matter most to you and to Pennsylvania.

Sincerely,
Bob Casey
United States Senator

MY CONGRESSMAN IS NOT THAT BAD

I am a Conservative and I did vote for Congressman Carney over Republican Hackett, and so far Congressman Carnes has been preety good, and I think I will support him again. Below is his latest update.

July 17, 2009

Dear Friend,

I wanted to take the opportunity this week to share a recent news clip regarding our current financial crisis and how we fix it and ensure that it never happens again. I have said many times that you can never have enough transparency and accountability when spending the taxpayers' hard-earned money. As Chairmen of the Sub-Committee for Management, Investigations and Oversight for the Homeland Security Committee, I am working hard to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in our system.

That is why recently I worked with a group of 17 Republicans and Democrats to urge the President to investigate the Federal Reserve's role in the recent takeover of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America. It appears that the government may have over-stepped its appropriate reach into private business dealings by exerting undue pressure on Bank of America to purchase Merrill Lynch. The government has an appropriate regulatory role but we must ensure that the government does not overreach and that we preserve the free-market capitalist system responsible for the historic strength and prosperity of our nation.

It is my firm belief that the best way to avoid future financial crises is to learn everything that we can about both the private sector and the government's involvement in the current situation. Only when we understand everyone's role will we be in a position to better protect the taxpayers in the future. I am firmly committed to turning this economy around, creating local jobs and keeping the people of northeast and central Pennsylvania informed during the process.

I hope you enjoy the clip and have a great weekend.

House wants answers on Merrill Lynch takeover

The Wilkes-Barre Times Leader - July 11, 2009

By BILL O' BOYLE

U.S. Rep. Chris Carney and others ask for investigation to see if the Federal Reserve exerted pressure.

U.S. Rep. Chris Carney and 16 other House members from both political parties are calling on the Obama administration to investigate the Federal Reserve's role in the takeover of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America during the recent national financial crisis.

The House members are questioning whether the federal government, including former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, exerted pressure on Bank of America to acquire Merrill Lynch.

"Restoring faith and confidence in our financial institutions and markets must be a critical priority, particularly now, as we all work to get our economy back on track," Carney said. "The American people deserve transparency and accountability from their government, and this probe is one important action we can take to help avoid future financial crisis."

Carney said the government has an important role to play in the economy.

"But it should never play that role in the shadows and it should only step in situations of genuine necessity," Carney said. "This probe will restore faith and confidence by getting at the truth of what happened in this situation and also by discouraging any potentially questionable government overreaching and tactics from being employed in the future."

The deal was completed in early January and has stirred controversy on Capitol Hill.

In testimony before Congress, Bernanke denied making threats to Bank of America executives if they failed to complete the deal.

The 17 legislators - three Democrats and 14 Republicans - on Friday sent a letter to Obama requesting the investigation. The Obama administration has proposed granting new powers to the Fed in an effort to overhaul the financial system.

In the letter, the legislators wrote: "While Chairman Bernanke testified that he made no such threats in relation to the merger, there is a considerable amount of other testimony and evidence that calls into question those claims. No additional powers should be contemplated for the Federal Reserve, however, until this issue is thoroughly investigated and the Federal Reserve is cleared of any wrongdoing."

The House members who signed the letter are: Carney, Alan Grayson, D-Florida; Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio; Scott Garrett, R-New Jersey; Tom Price, R-Georgia; Walter Jones, R-North Carolina; John Duncan, R-Tennessee; Ron Paul, R-Texas; Thaddeus McCotter, R-Michigan; Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee; Michael Burgess, R-Texas; Adrian Smith, R-Nebraska; Michele Bachmann, R-Minnesota; Louie Gohmert, R-Texas; Dan Burton, R-Indiana; Patrick McHenry, R-North Carolina; and Bill Posey, R-Florida.

Sincerely,
Christopher P. Carney
Member of Congress

reality

Sign of the times.

I recently asked my friends' little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do? ' She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.' Her parents beamed.'Wow...what a worthy goal.' I told her, 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house ' She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, ' Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?

I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.' Her parents still aren't speaking to me.

COMMON SENSE MANAGEMENT

Sure profits are good, and that is the purpose of business, BUT!! Management's first job is managing the business. The ultimate test of management is business performance. Achievement and knowledge is a necessity. Management is practise, rather a science. A manager, whether running a mom and pop store to running a Wal-Mart, is the life-giving element in every business. Without a strong manager, his/her leadership, the resources of production remain just that, resources of production, and never become production. With competition at an all time high, the quality and performance of management determine the success of the business, and the life of the business. Management is the specific organ of business.

Management must always place economic first. Every decision, every action, management must justify its existence and its authority by the economic results that is produces. Some consider non-economic results such as happiness of the members of business, the workers, contribution to the welfare and happiness of the members of business, the workers, as a great thing, is successful business management, and yes it does contribute a part in success, but if management fails to produce economic results, if it has failed to supply goods and services that the consumer needs and wants, and at a price the consumer wants with little or no hassle, and at the price the consumer is willing to pay, then management has failed if it does not improve or even maintain the wealth producing capacity it has entrusted management to do.

With all this in mind, I question management as to why the same reasoning does not apply here. We have cuts in staff in order to save a few thousands of dollars, but nobody is taking notice that for every two thousand dollars saved in staff cuts, four thousand dollars is lost in sales as consumers are not being satisfied and catered. WHY??

Cutting staff limits the amount of goods and services the consumers need and want, because there is nobody to stock shelves. Cutting staff on registers limits the consumers ability for a happy, satisfying and quick shopping experience, as they grow tired in waiting in lines. Consumers will get disgusted and disenchanted and they leave carts full of groceries and walk out of the store. Not only does this cause a loss in sales, but a loss in products as food spoilage occurs. Cutting staff limits a clean store. Consumers expect to have clean floors, clean shelves, clean parking lots carts available at all times, consumers expect clean restrooms. With no or limited staff, consumers will just make a U-Turn and walk out and possibly not come back and go to a competitor that actually does the above.

The notion of making, for example, $7 million dollars in profits for a quarter, management should consider making $6 million in the quarter and allow for the rest of the profits to go back to the work-force in order to achieve the best consumer service possible. By managing with common sense and with a little wisdom, the consumer will be satisfied and will keep coming back as it is being served and catered. With times being tough there needs to be a focus on how to get consumers, not making them leave. This is management!

H1N1

As the President's advisor on Homeland Security, I am passing along the following message from Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security, and Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education, who are leading the efforts to prepare our Nation for the coming flu season. Fellow Americans, This spring we were confronted with an outbreak of a troubling flu virus called 2009-H1N1. As the fall flu season approaches, it is critical that we reinvigorate our preparedness efforts across the country in order to mitigate the effects of this virus on our communities. Today, we are holding an H1N1 Influenza Preparedness Summit in conjunction with the White House to discuss our Nation's preparedness. We are working together to monitor the spread of 2009-H1N1 and to prepare to initiate a voluntary fall vaccination program against the 2009-H1N1 flu virus, assuming we have a safe vaccine and do not see changes in the virus that would render the vaccine ineffective. But the most critical steps to mitigating the effects of 2009-H1N1 won't take place in Washington — they will take place in your homes, schools and community businesses. Taking precautions for this fall's flu season is a responsibility we all share. Visit Flu.gov to make sure you are ready and learn how you can help promote public awareness. We are making every effort to have a safe and effective vaccine available for distribution as soon as possible, but our current estimate is that it won't be ready before mid-October. This makes individual prevention even more critical. Wash your hands regularly. Take the necessary precautions to stay healthy and if you do get sick, stay home from work or school. We are doing everything possible to prepare for the fall flu season and encourage all Americans to do the same — this is a shared responsibility and now is the time to prepare. Please visit Flu.gov to learn what steps you can take to prepare and do your part to mitigate the effects of H1N1. Take Care, Kathleen, Janet and Arne

CONCERNING

I received this on an E-mail, and it is pretty scary if it is true:

In a document entitled Bioterrorism Evidence, Bürgermeister points to an international corporate criminal syndicate and extensively details its plan to carry out mass genocide against the American people by unleashing a deadly flu virus and instituting a forced vaccination program.
