HOLD BACK THE PAYCHECKS

How sad that our elected State officials have refused to budge on the budget while kids are suffering as money for education is being held up as the elite politicians, Democrats and Republicans can't figure out how to work together. THEY SEEM TO WORK TOGETHER PRETTY GOOD ALLOWING THEMSELVES TO GET PAID. Here is a novel idea, hold back on their paychecks as well. They should feel the pain as well.

CREDIT CARD ACCOUNTABILITY

August 21, 2009 Dear Friend, I am pleased to announce that the first provisions of the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act (Credit CARD Act) went into effect yesterday as part of a reform package that will help protect consumers from excessive credit card fees, retroactive interest rate hikes and, unfair, incomprehensible agreements that credit card companies revise at will. This bill, also known as the Credit Card Holders Bill of Rights, will end the unfair practices of the credit card industry and protect consumers from the abusive tactics that have driven so many Americans deeper and deeper into debt. The Credit CARD Act is first and foremost about fairness for average Americans and consumers who play by the rules but are struggling to make ends meet. These consumers deserve to be treated fairly and honestly by their credit card companies, not hit with fees and interest rate hikes that drive them deeper into debt. The Credit CARD Act included an amendment ...

A QUESTION FOR CONGRESS.

Here are some real questions from a good friend, not only for our Congressman, Carney, but for all of the members. Hey Tim, Do me a favor when your at this meeting on monday. try to ask Carney the following questions if you could squeeze these in. 1.People don't neccessarily want a new healthcare program as much as we want healthcare costs overhauled and justified. the cost of aspirin from the hospital $8.00 per tablet. $2500.00 for a cat scan. etc. 2.How is raising the taxes to pay for the program an answer when we can't afford what we pay now. No one salaries have gone up in relation to how fast inflation is hitting everyone in this economy. 3.Everyone is affraid it is going to be a "pool" system as to what and who gets treated. Perhaps if the healthcare industry was regulated a little better or more than it is, that might help alleviate cost concerns. The coverage didn't seem to be as poor before congress passed the bill that all workers are required by ...

H.R. 1388 was passed yesterday, behind our backs. You may want to read about it. It wasn't mentioned on the news... just went by on the ticker tape at the bottom of the CNN screen. By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza . POLITICIANS DO NOT GET SOCIAL SECURITY??

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU AREREPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT! LET'S KEEP IT GOING!!!! Propose this in 2009: START A BILL TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON ---------------------------------- SOCIAL SECURITY: (This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.) Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years. Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it. You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special planfor themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan. In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan! For all practical purposes their plan works like this: When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die. Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments... For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their...
